Infrastructure and Facilities

Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law, Chandrapur provides several infrastructural facilities to the students and staff such as a library with a collection of books, separate hostels boys and girls, computer centre to provide practical knowledge, auditorium and seminar hall to conduct events, seminars, etc. SPCL also has a gymnasium inside the campus for the physical fitness of the students and canteen to serve food to the students and staff. Other facilities like wi-fi, moot court hall, network resource centre are also available for them.

Computer Centre: SPCL has a computer centre for the students in order to apply their knowledge practically and gain exposure. These laboratories are well equipped with latest technologies and equipment.

Seminar Hall: SP College of Law has a seminar hall inside the campus that can be used for conducting seminars, meetings, conferences, etc.

Gymnasium: SPCL has gymnasium inside the campus that can be used by the students to maintain their physical fitness.

Canteen: The canteen of SPCL serve healthy and nutritious food to the staff and students. The surrounding of the canteen is neat and clean.

Library: The college has a spacious library wing which consists of the good collection of around books (23000), Journals (06), Newspapers (13) and Magazines (7). A separate book bank for SC and ST is provided in the Library with the assistance of Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra. Encyclopedias and General Studies books are available to help the students in the preparation of civil services and other competitive examinations. To facilitate smooth functioning, the Library is fully computerized and equipped with a special Library Management Software (OPAC system) for the issue and return of library books and for providing the catalog of the books. Broadband Internet facility, Wi-Fi and online resources like Manupatra, and Equitas are made available in the Library. On average 90% of the Faculty members and 80% of the students regularly use the library facility. Even the local Advocates, Researchers and Alumni frequently use the services of the college library.

I.T Infrastructure: The college established a well-equipped Computer Lab with Broadband and interconnected Internet facility for the benefit of the students and faculty. The college has the adequate number of Computers in the Lab with legal software. Wi-Fi facility is also recently provided for faculty and the students

Hostel: The hostel of S. P. College of Law, Chandrapur is located in the campus of the college. It is well equipped with the intake capacity of 32 girl students. It is equipped with all the facilities needed for a safe and secure stay at the hostel. Rooms are well equipped with a bed, study table, chair and cub board for storage of materials. The facilities like T.V, Refrigerator, CD player etc. are also available in the girls’ hostel. The hostel is surrounded by a beautiful garden with full of greenery. Indoor sports equipment are also available in the hostel. Girls’ hostel has its separate library for hostel inmates. There is one full time in charge and warden for the hostel appointed by the college

Auditorium:Auditorium is under construction and will be available very soon to facilitate organizing academic, cultural, conferences and other student related events

Moot Court: To encourage the students to participate in moot court activity, the college provides a separate Moot Court Hall which provides a simulative courtroom ambiance.

Gym: The institution has established adequate infrastructural facilities for sports and games activities. A modern Gymnasium with the latest physical fitness equipment has been provided for the benefit of the students and the staff.
