The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLU) publishes CLAT Syllabus 2024 along with the Admission Notification. CLAT exam 2024 syllabus for 5 years LLB includes subjects like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics and English while the CLAT LLM syllabus includes LLB subjects. CLAT 2024 has a total of 120 questions each carrying one mark. Candidates preparing for CLAT 2024 must go through this syllabus to know the subjects they have to study.
Note that no changes have been made to the LLM syllabus for CLAT 2024. THE CLAT LLM 2024 exam pattern has also remained the same. CLAT 2024 Syllabus for English Language and Comprehension:
The English section of CLAT mainly tests the language skills of the candidate - reading, comprehension and grammar. Questions are asked in six to seven passages, each containing approximately 450 words. Each step is followed by a series of multiple-choice questions. Students must read the passages and answer the questions based on them.

CLAT is one of the toughest and most competitive law entrance exams in India. Most sections of CLAT 2025 focus on advanced reading and comprehension which cannot be developed overnight. Ans. CLAT is a moderately difficult exam. CLAT 2025 difficulty level is class 12 standard. The difficulty level of CLAT Mathematics is class 10 standard.
Ques. Is 3 months enough for CLAT?
Ans. Candidates have to prepare for the CLAT exam from the beginning for about six months. However, candidates who are good in law and general awareness can prepare for CLAT in three months.
Ques. Does the CLAT syllabus change every year?
Ans.No, the syllabus of CLAT remains largely the same. The last major changes in the CLAT syllabus were announced in 2019. However, to make the CLAT question paper more student-friendly, changes are made to the model regularly. For example, last year the total number of questions in CLAT was reduced from 150 to 120 and the tone and language of the comprehension sections were relatively easier compared to the earlier versions.
